closest one is a few hours away.

For sat 2 tests, do you know if you can just show up at a closer testing center and ask if they can accomidate you? When I took Sat 1 earlier this month, I overheard the person in charge telling someone they could have done this. Anyone here tried it?

Do you really want to take the chance and be turned away? WHy not just drive a little extra?
 
The only way they can accomodate extras is if someone doesn't show - it's fairly common for SAT1 noshows, but SAT2 is another matter entirely.
