its being so stupid. it worked before..

i jsut want it to encode but it wont...

gives me an error::

an error occured when trying to generate the file.
check taht u are not using the output file or the program is setup correctly.

the output file is c:\videoout.avi

and im sure the program is setup correctly.. using a basic 3.11 low motion codec..

I have had the exact same problem for a long time. I cannot use the MP3 codec for some reason, not radium not lame. I can use the divx audio but when I use that it makes my movies jumpy and look awful. So far the only one I got to work fine was uncompressed PCM audio. I never could find anything to help but I would love to get it working right.

yep. thats my problem. apparently.. it used to work in win2k.. but oh well.. using divx 64kps for now. later i'll mux it with a downmixed ac3 stream or something. =\ dang it. i hate anime dvds. they arent progressive so i gotta deinterlace the crap out of them. so slow. 9fps on duals, but im using 2 pass vbr. so technically i gotta do this twice. 9hours for each pass. ARghh. then i still have to mux the dang audio. then cut it. blah!

I've got this problem. I searched on the web and it said something about setting the audio codec priority to 2 or 3, but I can't find anywhere to do that. Anybody know?
