Picked 18 tomatos yesterday, another 22 today. I'm being overrun and they haven't even peaked yet. In a couple weeks, I figure I'll be picking 50-60 per day. Anybody need some 'maters? :D

I usually make homemade pizza sauce from canned tomato paste but this weekend I think I'm going to try to some it from fresh tomatos.

I did buy some redvine for a salad...touche.

I just picked several myself over the weekend. Couple of cucumbers too.
Sliced 'em and covered 'em in Ranch Dressing. Mmmmmm.

I have about 12 plants and have been getting a lot of nice ones. I usually use them in my homemade Pasta Sauce. The best way to prepare them for use as a base in a sauce is to Roast them in the oven. I'll peel them and remove as much of the seeds and water as I can (not too much, though) and then add a ton of fresh garlic, onions, fresh basil, plenty of olive oil all in a larger roasting pan and then put that puppy into a 400 degree oven on Roast for about an hour or so. This makes the best base for pasta sauce or any other tomato sauce you can think of. mmmmmmm....

Got mine planted kind of late, and they're still green marbles, but growing a bit every day...At first, I thought the OP was in NoCal, where they're harvesting in the fields...Nothing like having a "mater" truck dump a hundred lbs of maters right in front of you on the freeway...<splat>There will be "'mater paste" on the highways and piles of 'maters on the cloverleafs for months to come...
