Should have taken 1. It's prettier.

I agree but there's nothing like hitting triple digits on I-5 and nobody really caring😎 That said, I still prefer highway 1; unless you get stuck behind some old fvcktard in a ratty ass motorhome that can't pull into a turnout to let 40 ppl behind him pass:|

Yes, that happened to me this past summer. Still bugs me.

1 was closed yesterday about 50 miles south of Carmel. I know cuz I was out fishing there about 10 miles north of the closure.

I live in orange county, just an hour away from LA and its not even raining here. Its pretty damn cold and theres snow on the saddleback mountains, but no storm like conditions.

LA is LOVELY today. There hadn't been much sunshine up north these past few weeks, and it's wonderful to see it again..

I'm betting 101 isn't going to be only an hour longer with all the increased traffic from the 5.

The grapevine sucks.

it's going to rain again tomorrow supposedly...

I just drove from LA to Chicago in a day and a half through the worst parts of this massive storm system. It didn't stop raining or snowing for 5 minutes.
