At first I thought it was just my keyboard but I tried my roommate's keyboard too which didn't work.
Initially I thought a reboot would solve it but it turns out that didn't do it..and my BIOS was set such that it wouldn't boot without a keyboard.
I then had to borrow my neighbor's USB keyboard to load up the BIOS, disable halting for any startup program, which allowed me to boot into Windows and now I'm controlling my desktop from my laptop..
What causes a PS/2 port to stop working all of a sudden?
