Ahh...memories from high school.

I went to a boarding school in high school and we had a school network. When I was logged onto the network and wanted to find out if someone was also logged on at the same time, I typed out "finger" and then the username. If I wanted to chat with someone I typed in "com" and then the username and hit enter and then typed in what I wanted to say.

The joke that always cracked me up was "You better 'com' when I 'finger' you."
