Ahh, it's nice living on the top floor

It's a chilly 46F outside with an expected low in the 30s. I gotta thank the people who live below me for cranking their heat up because I've got my heat off and it is a nice 74F inside my apartment 😀

heh my wife had a 3rd floor apartment years ago. it would be hot in winter. she wouldnt have to turn up her heat to high since the people below her (older couple) would alway shave it very hot.

in my old apartment, everyone would turn the heat up so damned high i would have to sleep with the window open in the middle of winter. and this is in wisconsin.

Wouldn't it be funny if the apartment below you was on fire?

Yes, actually, because other than providing me with free heat, I don't like them :| But I'm not going into that online 😉

lol, I had the same thing in a 1st floor apartment though. There were 3 water heaters and 3 furances in the basement right below me (for my apartment and the 2 above it) plus the steam pipes running through my rooms for the 2 apartments that I ended up barely using any heat.

yea i once lived on the 3rd floor.. and thats pretty much the only bonus you get.. well along with the view (that is if you have a nice view from your window).. you have to walk up a lot of stairs, it gets super hot in the summer time, when you are moving in/out.. damn what a pain in the a$$ it is lugging all your ****** up and down. other than that.. well right on.

it's always great living in the middle floors. your neighbors are always providing heat/ac, depending on season.

it SUCKS to live on the top floor. Sure you get heat in the winter. But it's going to be AWFULLY hot in the summer.

Middle floors is optimal
