ahh!!! help with myths... grr....

Okay I need to figure something out. I have to write a myth based either off classical Greek or Roman mythos. I can create minor new characters if neccessary but i can't change old myths that we already have. Grrr!! I'm having a TOTAL writer's block here and i've wasted all fricking day on this. BAH

I'm thinking of something along the lines of Zeus's many love affairs but how do I build off that? I can explain the existence of something but I don't know what.

If I remember correctly, Hercules was the product of a union between he and a mortal female. You could do a soap opera about Hercules falling in love with a beautiful woman only to find on his wedding day that's it's one of his many half sisters.

He is so depressed that he quits the super hero business, moves to Montana and becomes a hermit.
