OK, i have a Athlon 700 classic SLOT-A and gateway gatewenizes everything in my computer! i am planning to rip open teh athlons case and stick a GFD in it...ok, theres this big heatsink screwed on the darned heatplate of my athlon, screwed not clipped! the screw aint anormal screw, it uses the allen wrenches to open em...so i take my allen wrench and start turning it to open. then after turning it a coupole of times i took out the wrench and checked the screw, it was totally chewed up inside it was like totally round! dammed screws! so i did it on another and that also chewed up... argg! how would i take out the darneed screw that has been plaugiging my darned athlon!
 
Ummm...maybe you shouldn't mess with your gateway anymore because these companies have a purpose for adjusting everything - they don't want people to screw their configurations up and blame it on the company....
