I had to check connecting rods for stress factor.

BWA BRWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ~ 29 miles later ~ EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee putt putt putt.

"Eh, it is a ok car. I dunno, lemme go get some lunch and think about it."

Mental note - Escorts hold up well to sustained driving at the rev limiter.

No its not cool but Monel is about to invest in a very expensive piece of equipment that he will use day in and day out. There in nothing wrong with making sure the carsalesman didn't get temporary amnesia about any problems the car may have. I tend to not trust anything a carsalesleech tells me.

That is why you fail. Doing that to cars isn't hurting the dealer, it's hurting the people that buy the cars that you've screwed up.

You know....if you have an auto you can see what's stronger the brakes or the engine...or maybe the tranny is the weak link.

Stand on the Throttle and the Brake, see if the engine can overpower the brakes. On an RWD with a high torque engine you get some pretty impressive smoke off the back tires doing that sorta stuff...the front brakes hold the car pretty much in place while the massive torque smokes the back tires like there's no tommorow (or so I've heard)

Wonder what it'd do on a FWD with a gutless wonder like a Focus Well...only way to find out....
I unfortunately don't have a licsense, so they won't let me test drive...do you think you could give it a try for me Monel?
