Not a lot of people, clip is 4 rounder, but you go to jail for that so Deer,Elk, Moose Coyotes will have to do. . .
Well BPJ firewall still blocks the .com ext :(

Now to sell the .270 and get a Winchester Coyote in .243 but I can be patient on that one as my son is gonna have to wait a decade before he can go!

You live in the right state!

Why do you feel compelled to post in a thread about guns if they bother you so much? Even the most ardent gun-control advocates do not generally take offense at deer rifles, and I see little that is scary about this thread.

Hey, my wife hates having them in the house, too !! and is quite scared of them.
But she loves to go shooting
I have to do all the loading and get it in firing position then she loves to blast at targets, not too bad at it either.
If you never have shot a firearm but just don't like them on principle I suggest you go to a range and get some experience.
Its one of those life experience type things that once you try it it can hook you. Even just blasting paper can be quite a rush for a lot of people.
Its one of the reasons people who love firearms are passionate about em.
I don't really much care for the hardware as much as I like hunting and thats the tool needed.

Repeat after me "Do not come to VT or NH and try to pass off your liberal MA views of gun grabbing here. Go to NY to ski or see leaves change."

Sweet, I'd be jealous as hell, but I've bought 3 rifles in the last year...

Favorite is a .308 Savage 110FP with an Ultimate Varmit stock, monster Bushnell scope, & swiveling Harris bipod.

Of course the Ruger .243 M77CR Ruger in stainless that I bought for my daughter is pretty sweet too;)

Or is my favorite the Olympic Arms pre-ban lower with Bushmaster flat-top shorty upper & collapsable stock?

Oh well, need another gun safe...

Morning!!
Hey Moose you must be MOA with the Savage eh?
Thats kinda what I want the Coyote for. Nice long range shooter and occasional deer :)
"Olympic Arms pre-ban lower with Bushmaster flat-top shorty upper & collapsable stock"
Being in Canaduh I don't know what this is?

Weren't you looking for a .223 or a 22-250 at one time or nuther?

Don't worry Johnnie You can always buy a bolt or something cheaper than the Mini 14 and sell it later if you want. Lots of good quality cheap rifles out there
so why just have one?

I killed a dove once with a pellet gun as a child, I felt horrible, I never shot anything again except my best friend in the leg with a pellet gun. I didn't know it was loaded.....

bthorney, my Dad killed a bird on a wire at a huge and impossible distance with a pellet gun. It made him sick that an animal died because he was screwing around. I killed a mole right through the dirt with a 22. It made me feel ashamed. Somehow, probably accidentally, we both excaped the deconditioning of our inborn sense of empathy. I have a pretty nice deer rifle in the garage and I can't even remember what it is. It could go for sitting on my porch and plinking cans, but where I live I'd get hauled away. Guns are a part of another time and universe. Us Californians are blowing away the world with out culture. :D

Sort of remindes you of what Gandhi said huh, Amused. I don't type too good right now because my dog is plagued by flea bites and wants me to scratch his ass. If I take my hand off to yype I get the wet nose torture. I meant our culture, obviouslt.

Hey I shot a gopher with a pellet gun and didn't kill, it came out of his hole caughing blood and bloody nose.
I felt real bad bout that , cause he never let me get another shot to finish him off.
So I don't know if he made it or not but I never shot anything after that till I went hunting bout 10 years ago with a buddy.
I now I only take shots that kill and have successfully one shot every deer I've downed.
And make sure you have enough gun to do the job properly!

Congrats!

I bought a .22 BSA SuperSport pellet rifle a few months ago. Single cock springer. Awesome gun.

Dime sized groupings @ 30 yards with iron sights. 700 fps at muzzle. Takes out crows to 70 yards. (I hate crows. They've wiped out almost all other bird species around my house)

..and the best thing, its legal to shot in my backyard here in upstate NY suburbia.

I'm looking forward to getting a target box & start teaching my kids.

Yeah my buddy bought a .177 to finish off gophers at the balldiamonds his in-laws own , nice shooting rig for the same reasons as you.
Legal to shoot, he was using his Ruger 10/22 till he found out ooops.

So I just came back from Moose/Elk/Deer hunting with the 7mm 08 and only had the chance to shoot at some whitetail does , what a nice shooter!
I was more accurate with my Lever than the guy with his .270 Win mod 70, and Barry with his 7mm Rem mag browning Abolt :) and the Inlaws with his 303 British but I'll forgive that one ;) We didn't get anything this trip other than a couple of Whitetails but We'll go back in a couple of weeks to go again. . .
It was long 12 hr days , walked about 20 miles a day though trail and Moose swamp!! Eat supper, bed and up at 4:45. . .
Had a cold in the middle of it all to boot, just now catching up on the |ZZ's

As a former NH resident (12 years), I can definitely attest to the truth of that statement..
