My ex-GF (yes, the psycho that talks too much) just called me. We are still friends. I love her for all her faults, but if I had to "be with her" I'd choke her to death. Anyway, her PC that I built, died.

Looks like the motherboard, and though I would walk her thru the swap out over the phone, she is terrified about opening up the case even though she's watched me do it a million times.

Check this out.

She is going to pay round trip FEDEX, plus parts from Newegg to have me swap out the motherboard.

Shipping the box 900+ miles is going to cost$$$.

I got my DSL today. I see about 80KB/s down and 50KB/s up. It ain't cable but it's infinitely better than dialup.

Heh, back in TX, I had cable. I consistently got 300KB/s down and 40 up. :| I miss it a lot.

But I've been on DIALUP since JULY 2003. This is like greased lightning for me now!!!
