Sh1t. Can I say sh1t? I just did. :disgust:

My ex-GF (yes, the psycho that talks too much) just called me. We are still friends. I love her for all her faults, but if I had to "be with her" I'd choke her to death. Anyway, her PC that I built, died.

Looks like the motherboard, and though I would walk her thru the swap out over the phone, she is terrified about opening up the case even though she's watched me do it a million times.

Check this out.

She is going to pay round trip FEDEX, plus parts from Newegg to have me swap out the motherboard.

Shipping the box 900+ miles is going to cost$$$.

NO.

Don't PM me and say "I'll fix it for $20!" Damn vultures. ;) :)

The point is I don't have the time to deal w/this crap right now. I just started a new job in a new city, I'm supervising three people...I'm BUSY dammit. Hell, Idon't even have my furninture yet. :|

Thanks for listening. We now return you to your regularly scheduled ATOT Drivel. :D

ps
I got my DSL today. I see about 80KB/s down and 50KB/s up. It ain't cable but it's infinitely better than dialup. :p

Heh, back in TX, I had cable. I consistently got 300KB/s down and 40 up. :| I miss it a lot.

But I've been on DIALUP since JULY 2003. This is like greased lightning for me now!!! :D

i remember when i was on dialup and all my l33t irc buddies had cable, and i'd be like I'd be so happy if I could just download at 20kb/sec, and they were like no once you taste real speed you wont dl anything if its going less then 100.

And boy, were they right

Well, hell yeah! She was also about 50 pounds lighter than she is now. She was a real looker. Now she's a hefty bag full of moo-moo fluff. Moooooo.
