AHCI with Vista 64 bit?

Does anybody have Vista 64 installed on a MB with the AHCI enabled in BIOS and in native mode?

I had a lot of trouble and had to re-install Vista several times.

Did you guys have success with AHCI on a 965 chipset?

Worked ok for me after I had Vista installed

But anytime I inserted a burnt DVD video into my cd-rom drive, the IDE channel would dissappear. Only a restart or disabling the controller would make it reappear. So I am not using AHCI anymore
