That's because guys are usually more reckless drivers, but girls are usually less aware. From my experiences anyways.

I refrain from commenting on the grounds I may end up sleeping on the couch.

I think I am a better driver than most of the men I know.

My husband obviously thinks I am a good driver because he always lets me drive. :)

I think the problem is the majority of women drive SUVs that they have no clue how to handle. Armed with a cellphone and no sense of direction equals the destruction of a rear-end...

The fact that guys have more overall accidents can also be attributed to the possible fact that they drive more.

Its not that he thinks you're a good driver...its only cause he's too busy getting his CCNA. :D

He already got his CCNA. CCNP is what his going for now.

You may have a point though. To busy studying to drive the car.

And all this time I thought it was because he trusted me behind the wheel of our car. Little did I know. :p:)

Oh god.. the other day this ignorant b!tch on her cell phone was holding up at least 15 cars on a highway that had only one lane open. That's unbelievably frustrating. It's times like that that a air horn could come in handy like this guy does

Yes, I know, that's why I mentioned the "per mile". Of course insurance companies only look at the gross ratings and not the net :frown:

I was driving to college yesterday morning, maybe 7:20am. As I entered the left turn lane (with vehicles stopped at the light), a female driver went in front of me (not a whole lot of room, and I wasn't exactly really slow yet..fairly long turn lane), and proceeded to slam on the brakes..not just firmly, but enough that her car went slightly sideways, and left some nice dark streaks on the road..either she wasn't paying attention, or she just *had* to get in front of me.

On my way to work today, I was in another left turn lane..the light went green, and some middle-aged guy in his pickup truck was too busy talking..the ~3 cars in front of him were clear of the intersection, so I hit the horn to get his attention. He finally notices that the light has changed..but then it changed again. Bah.

Hopefully I'll never drive like either of the two drivers I mentioned...heh

I can relate to two similar incidents about 6 hours ago. I was drivng in New Jersey outside Woodbridge (for anyone who knows the area) and was on the far right were you have the option to go either right or straight. There were 3 cars infront of me all turning right but I was going straight. The guy in a Maroon Pathfinder with Utah! Plates who was in the middle lane where it is completely posted that you have to go straight decided he wanted to make a right turn. Then as I'm going straight, he starts honking his horn continuously all because he didn't want to read the signes posted clearly.

Then on my way back, I was on my way home and this guy in a Black Blazer was doing something because the 4 cars infront of him were long gone, and he was just sitting there. I go to drive around him and he finally decides that its time to move.

I read in insurance reports that Women have more accidents then men, but when men have accidents they have serious ones, that cause signicantly more damage, and significantly more to repair

So....its depends on how you look at it.
Men have fewer accidents, but have worse ones...

Another story...

So I was driving in overland park, ks coming out of a shopping center that exits onto the busiest street in town. To set this up, there was a lot of traffic and construction. I am the second car at a red light in the left turn lane trying to make a left onto said street. The light turned green and the guy ahead of me took off, but there was not really any room for him without blocking the intersection, so he drove up onto the median area to get out of the way. Me seeing what all was going on, just stayed put at the green light. Then i hear a bunch of honking etc and then 3 retarded women pulled around me moving pretty fast and screeched to a halt sitting in the middle of the intersection. Naturally the light turned back to red, and so now there are 3 people sitting in the middle of the intersection. I leaned out my window NYC style and started pointing and gave the obligatory "Hey b1tch, nice move!". The people who now had the green light were pretty pissed off because they couldn't go anywhere and started shouting obscenities. One guy got out of his car and acted like he was gonna smack one of them but thought better of it and just ended up scaring the hell out of her. It took about 2 more minutes to get all worked out.

I'm 5' and drive a 4 Runner. I like driving SUVs because I like to be high up. It feel weird to drive a standard car now. I get jokes like "hey can you see over the dash board?" or "Do you need a phone book?" ALL THE TIME! I do agree that women are bad drivers. There were many times when I thought I was going to die when my sister was driving. Oh by the way, here's something my friend said, "Meg there are three reasons why you can't drive: You are a short, Asian woman."

It's very scary to drive through Chinatown....at least in Houston. VERY BAD DRIVERS ARE EVERYWHERE!
