Diary of an Unborn Child
OCTOBER 5:
Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet, but it is I already. And I am to be a girl. I shall have blond hair and blue eyes. Just about everything is settled though, even the fact that I shall love flowers.
OCTOBER 19:
Some say that I am not a real person yet, that only my mother exists. But I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is yet truly bread. My mother is. And I am.
OCTOBER 23:
My mouth is just beginning to open now. Just think, in a year or so I shall be laughing and later talking. I know what my first word will be: MAMA.
OCTOBER 25:
My heart began to beat today all by itself. From now on it shall gently beat for the rest of my life without ever stopping to rest! And after many years it will tire. It will stop, and then I shall die.
NOVEMBER 2:
I am growing a bit every day. My arms and legs are beginning to take shape. But I have to wait a long time yet before those little legs will raise me to my mother?s arms, before these little arms will be able to gather flowers and embrace my father.
NOVEMBER 12:
Tiny fingers are beginning to form on my hands. Funny how small they are! I?ll be able to stroke my mother?s hair with them.
NOVEMBER 20:
It wasn?t until today that the doctor told mom that I am living here under her heart. Oh, how happy she must be! Are you happy, mom?
NOVEMBER 25:
My mom and dad are probably thinking about a name for me. But they don?t even know that I am a little girl. I want to be called Kathy. I am getting so big already.
DECEMBER 10:
My hair is growing. It is smooth and bright and shiny. I wonder what kind of hair mom has?
DECEMBER 13:
I am just about able to see. It is dark around me. When mom brings me into the world it will be full of sunshine and flowers. But what I want more than anything is to see my mom. How do you look, mom?
DECEMBER 24:
I wonder if mom hears the whispering of my heart? Some children come into the world a little sick. But my heart is strong and healthy. It beats so evenly: tup-tup, tup-tup. You?ll have a healthy little daughter, mom!
DECEMBER 28:
Today my mother killed me.

it's amazing -- are you trying to say that zygotes are capable of critical thought??

how about this:

October 5 - today my life began - my mom's 14 years old and was drunk at the junior prom and my dad's 16 - he was her date and she doesn't even really know what happened - he just kind of forced himself on her and this morning she's in some pain -- and it doesn't look like dad'll ever finish highschool - nevermind love or marry my mom or love and take care of me for that matter - WHAT A LIFE I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO!!

End it before it starts.

Ahh come on lets stop with this.

There are always going to be 2 sides to this issue. Right or wrong you'll never get a consensus on this.

Let's just kill it here.

The zygote per se may not be capable of critical thought, but the spirit which is waiting to inhabit the body sure is. If it were just a matter of some meat and reflexes perhaps it would not be such an abominable crime, but when one person takes it upon themselves to refuse an earthly existence to one of God's sons or daughters, when they think that they can plan better for the child without God's help than with it, then it becomes an atrocity. Those who feel it better to kill than to give a person a chance to make it are following the teachings of the devil.

No, lets not kill it here... I would be very interested if someone could give me an intelligent reason why killing a zygote, fetis (whatever you want to call it), shouldn't be considered murder... It is murder in its most simple state... And another thing... Why not put the child up for adoption? It is much better than not letting it live at all...

LOL.

How about this:

DECEMBER 28:

Today my mother killed me. Other people argued on saving my life, but didn't actually offer to take me or anyone else in my situation. They just believe in theory I should live, but not enough to actually take care of me.

I can't believe people support abortion. Apparently, some need to re-evaluate their stance on life. A mothers body is only a vessel and any other thoughts that the mother is more prevalent is BS. Just an excuse to make murder more acceptable. :|

You Pro-Choicers better keep practicing your little speeches. You'll have to stand before God and give them one day.

Although I am a Christian, I will have to agree with DoggieDog... If it truly offends him, then you shouldn't post that...

This subject matter is too deep to discuss on a forum like this because it starts to degrade into political issues then religious issues, etc. etc.

As an AT community why can't we just keep it at lighter issues. Like why SUVs stink.

I don't take stuff like that personally and I don't hate the guys that love SUVs (hopefully I'm not really offending them). I'm just having fun. This heavier stuff is personal. Let's stay out of this mess.

Why is it that people fell they have the RIGHT to force their beliefs about god on to another person. If my god came down and told me not to kill a fly, a bug, cow, or something else then fine I wouldn't do it. My go disaporving of some thing in and of its self is not and should not be used to justify something. If a person choose to do something with their body to is not you bussise unless it harms you. You should not have the right to tell people what to do with their own body.

Oh and BTW on the day a bady "life" starts it does not have a sex it does not have eye color it does not have a hair color.

Blah blah blah, we've all seen this argument many times, and a dumb little diary to evoke some sort of sympathy or empathy is not going to change anyone's mind.....

Hmmmm...
Nope, Nope. Can't change my mind. I am pro-life till the end.

Raspewtin---There are countless families who would give anything to be able to adopt a little unwanted baby, given the chance. My mother-in-law had five children of her own but took in three baby girls(one with cerebral palsy)who "should have been aborted" and gave them a loving home and family. Now these 3 babies are amazing young girls who have brought their family so much joy.
Pro-lifers don't just bible-thump. We practice what we preach, my friend; and we will gladly take those children. And so will many others.

Kassy--no one is here to judge anyone and you did what you honestly thought was best given the circumstances. Unfortunately not many people realize that abortion is not without repercussions. I'm truly sorry for all that you have suffered.
I send you a big hug and a promise that you and your precious little ones are in my prayers.
I have a little toddler girl myself and I can understand how much pain you felt to see her suffering.

As for all these threads on abortion, honestly, people. No one is really going to change anyone's minds. I'm not debating about this much; I've given my 2 cents and that's that.

Go to my post in the abortion thread and read the part about partial birth abortion. (It is very disgusting so you might not want to) I hate all abortion but that is just the most immoral, abominable thing I can think of. I can't believe a person could even do that.

Kassy: I'm sorry that no one bothered to pass a law to protect YOU from your stupid mistakes and then blame it on some one else. If you truely flet it was wroung and was murder you wouldn't have done it. Being convent is not an excuss to killing people if it was I'm sure most people would be dead by now.

I still maintain that we need to stop sexualizing young girls and start teaching boys to be more responsible.

Every problem has a cause, or set of causes. Legal Band-Aids for or against abortion are not going to change much of anything.

Our time and energy will be better spent getting to the root of the problem. Anyway, that's what I'm trying to do, and what I will keep trying to do. If I have to start teaching a class to parents or to kids, then that is what I will do.

I am neither pro-life nor pro-choice.

I am pro-reduce-the-need.
