It seems that sniping is the only real way to win an auction many times, especially if you're trying to find "the deal" on ebay.

He (I'm assuming it was a he, came from that anon eBay mailer), said that people like me should be banned from bidding at eBay because we ruin it for "legitimate" buyers, and that my actions had been reported to "officials". What he doesn't realize is that half the fun is in the occasional nasty reaction from the loser of the auction.🙂
