That'd be Richmond, VA, USA for all you Brits and the like. Moving back there today for college. I got into VCU because 1. I totally screwed up my grades in HS, 2. I thought I wanted to go into art. Both of those things were mistakes.

All of the hideously oppressive weather of a southern city with none of the kind, polite people; all of the smug holier-than-thou liberalism of a northern city with none of the chintzy-but-excellent shops. Crime so high even gangs don't want to spend much time there, and that's where I'm going to class.

One of the central features of my college's campus is Monroe Park. A big park in Downtown Richmond, probably named after James Monroe. It's a very beautiful park, and would be very nice to hold open-air concerts or something. It's a real pity the hobos made it their home. Well, not hobos. Hobos are mostly innocent-yet-disgusting people who wander the country. These are mostly diseased-yet-crazy people who "live" in the park and mug you. Seriously, back during orientation we were given many warnings against the park. Did I mention my dorm is right across the street from said park?

Just countin' the semesters until I can try transfering somewhere like UVA.

Holy christ my dorm room is much smaller than my last one. I guess "single" means "YOU WILL HAVE NO SPACE K LOL"

Richmond, VA was a nice place, but crime was so terrible back then.

It wasn't so liberal when I lived there, but I lived out in the Highlands.
