I was in Spain for a week and I come home expecting to find my car in the driveway. Not there, apprently my dad decided to drive it around while I was gone. Something went crazy and now under no circumstances will the rear wheels roll forward, they had to drag it onto a flatbed. He says he'll pay for whatever is wrong but now I am lacking a car! I feel helpless without any means of getting around!

Unless he was abusing the vehicle, it's unlikely he did any damage to it that you wouldn't have done the next time you drove it. You should be thankful it happened with him at the wheel so he pays for it & not you.

That having been said, not having a car sucks.

Is it an automatic? Sounds like the transmission lock that keeps the car from moving when in "P" is stuck. Happened to one of my friends and the solution was to have four guys push the car back as he shifted.

<< Release the parking brake. That will be $50 please. Send the Paypal or MO to ... :) >>

Actually that would be more along the lines of "crawl under the car and figure out what happened to the parking brake cable - is it broken or pinched or frozen or whatever?"

And if you can get Antisocial-virge to do that for just $50, you've got a deal.

It's likely the parking brake cable.
BigNate, didn't you get your tranny hopped up a little while ago?
Perhaps high rpm shifting killed the cat! (screw the curiosity!)

grr, called the mechanic, looks my rear differential blew a seal a while back and the grease had dried out. I guess it's a mixed blessing, I may not have a car for a week, but he's going to pay to get it back on the road for something that would have went wrong anyway.
