The Revolution will come with Android 2.2 preloaded while the Thunderbolt has Skype video calling integrated right into HTC Sense. The latter device also boasts a Super LCD display.

# Processor:

* Dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2

Still, looks like Mid 2011 for the LG though. Not sure about the HTC.

Update: Android Police says its a single core. But there is a silver lining.

Best of all, the version of Froyo that LG has chosen to ship the Revolution with looks relatively uncontaminated, and with merely a tinted status bar here and altered icon there, the changes seem fairly forgivable in the near-mandatory custom UI sphere of Android lately.

Where's the source for the LG being Tegra 2? Neither Verizon's press release nor Engadget specify and I don't see it anywhere.

The HTC is 1Ghz Snapdragon, according to the press release.

Phone Arena says its a Tegra 2.

Sure, but I'm trying to confirm that and I don't see it anywhere. They don't even mention it in the article.

The fact that Phone Arena says "LG Revolution (previously known as Tegra 2)" doesn't exactly inspire confidence either. That makes no sense.

Has Verizon said anything about their LTE data plans for phones yet?

4:53PM "Will there be data caps on the LTE smartphone plans?" Lots of stuttering. "No decisions there, it might be the right thing to do." More stuttering. No real answers. "Caps may make sense at some point in time." Our translation? Yeah, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be smartphone caps.

4:50PM The whole crew was just asking about pricing. No announcements today on rate plans nor on devices, at least not on plans that aren't already in the market. Boo.

Lame... As if Verizon wasn't already the most expensive :( It would be nice if they took a cue from T-Mobile and just throttle the speeds after a reasonable amount

It'd be even better if they had no 4G data caps at all like Sprint but it's Verizon and they're all about control on their devices and network.

I guess we all assumed it was going to be the Optimus 2x or whatever they call it. But after reading their press release, I didn't even see a processor mentioned. They talk about everything else about the phone though.

This raises all kinds of red flags for me. What are they hiding, or what do they don't want people to know? Saw Velocity Micro hide the SoCs for some of their Cruz tablets because they were underpowered junk.
