I had the opportunity tonight to go out with some mates who are affiliated with the Dutch Olympic team in a Holden SS Olympic car (Holden is the official car sponsor of the game, so the officials & the athletes & everyone have, so I'm told, thousands of new Holdens of various models to run arround in) & go down to Darling Harbour tonight to watch the fireworks (& the only parking tonight in town is for Olympic vehicles), then go to the Heineken Hosting Marquee & drink free beer & party all night.
But I cought this bloody bad cold a couple of days ago & I'm coughing up literally bucket loads of yellow flem. Now in the past I would have just gone & talked my doctor into prescribing me some hardcore narcotic analgesics (Physeptone, Palfium, Omnapom, stuff like that) to block the cold out, but these days I just can't be bothered.
Anyway I'd just feel worse tomorrow.
I'll just have to wait till the olympics are in Sydney again.
