Ok, I just built an entirely new Athlon XP 1900+ system with an MSI KT3 Ultra 2 mobo.

Here's the problem. Iw as messing around in the BIOS and changed the CPU multiplier to 14.0x and forgot to change it back. I rebooted the computer and it didnt post. No video signal or anything. Now whatever I do the computer will not post. I took out the CPU and booted it without a CPU to see if that helped but it didn't. How do I reset the BIOS settings? Or did I fry my computer?

thanks, matt

first you need the cpu or ya get nothing

will it post with just the cpu, ra, vidcard in it?

post the system specs.

Do you have the mb manual? if you do, it should tell you how to reset the bios.
On my Soyo i half to disconect the power source from the mb then short the jumper for like five seconds then put the jumper back conect the power source and boot up.
good luck.

Yeah I would imagine that all you have to do is reset the CMOS on your mb, usually by a jumper. This sounds like the case and would be the first thing I would do.

Thanks a lot guys. I actually solved it before I saw your replies, but still, thanks anyways. I was lookin around on the mobo layout and I found the clear CMOS jumper.
