AGPB Dual Ceramic fan 500W 24 pin Power Supply @ Newegg $44.48 shipped AR

It can be used for both regular ATX or EPS (it has the normal ATX adapter plus the connector to make it EPS in which you can attach to the ATX adapter). The box I got said Athena Powered on it. Been rock stable on my dual 2.4 xeons.

Hope that helps.

Looking at the newegg pictures... does this PSU require a blowhole in the case or is the PSU simply shown upside down?

Edit: also, comparing the newegg pictures with those in the review...these are different PSUs. In the newegg pictures, the second fan is on the side of the PSU with all the cables. The rear of the PSU has only a mesh grill. The review's pictures clearly show a fan on the rear. AGPB may have assigned the same model number to these PSUs but, at least superficially, they're not the same.

why is it when i click on that link to the review i get portaldofranchising.com.br????

Good question, I tried to fix it, but the forum doesnt like the link for some reason... Try this:

hxxp://www.atruereview.com/500w/index.php

Replace xx w/ tt of course.

hmm, how does this compare to the likes of enermax, fortron, etc?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I've got one on the way.

In terms of performance, it looks every bit as good as PSU by the "top tier" manufacturers you mention (based on the specs and the review). In terms of long time reliability, who knows, but it DOES have a 3 year warranty. Assuming the company intends to honor it, that infers that they don't think its going to crap out in 6 months...

How long have you had yours? And how are the noise levels?

The 2nd link seems to be a slightly different model, at least with the fan setup. The one on newegg has 1x120mm fan, and 1x80mm fan. The one listed on the 2nd above link has 2x80mm fans. Dunno what else might be different if anything.

I just got one of these puppies, I installed it, and the system will not boot...

Any ideas? It did not come with any sort of adapter.. I plugged it straight into the ATX mobo I have

Confirmed UNIT WAS DOA. I suggest no one else order this no name brand.

plug it into the wall o_o, flip the power switch, does your mobo light up?

Just received the power supply, its not the same one from the review. Has blue led lights on the fan. Boots up and no problems

Just got mine and is very quite, mind you I am running Dual Xeons so its hard to hear anything over the OEM Intel Heatsink fans.

Plenty of cables and my MAX output was rated at 605 watts, the pic at newegg.com says 570. So maybe a slight upgrade fromt he original one.

It is a good sign that they are disclosing the 115V outputs as well. Most power supplies only show their output with 230V input, which is almost always higher. It looks like a very high quality unit.

Sorry I'm a little late, but can somebody tell me if this power supply has a steel or aluminum housing?
