I just bought a x1300pro AGP from BB for $140.

I got it because I thought its faster than x850xt.

(and I paid over ~$200 for the x850xt in Jan.)

Is this now the fastest AGP made ?

Nah, not really.

I had a GF2 in that box.

Getting some good scores

12K+ on 3dm01se with ...

KX333 (only 4x)
2mb XMS C2 (4 stix of 512 !)
currently at 176 x 10.5 on a XP1800 (I think)

VC not OC'd (yet)

Gotta get 3dM06 installed next

12K in 3dm01se isn't a hard feat...that's still lower than a 9700pro if a remember right. look at it this way...even the x1600xt is slower than an x850xt, how on earth would an x1300pro be faster.

I sincerely doubt it:

X850XT AGP

Fragment Pipelines: 16
Vertex Pipelines: 6
Texture Units: 16

256-bit Memory Bus, GDDR3 RAM

X1300PRO (PCI-E version, but I doubt the AGP version is superior; in fact it's probably inferior):

Fragment Pipelines: 4
Vertex Pipelins: 2
Texture Units: 4

128-bit Memory Bus, DDR RAM

The X1300Pro is clocked a bit faster but it doesn't matter with so few pipelines and a 128-bit memory bus. The X850XT seems to be VASTLY superior. The only thing the x1300pro has the X850XT doesn't is SM 3.0 and HDR support, but it's so slow it would be foolish to try to exploit those features on that card.

yea you really made the wrong choice, the fastest card in agp is the 7800gs and then comes the x850xt. try to return your card and get another card

Agreed. Put your X850XT back into your PC and sell the X1300PRO.

I had my 9700pro in that box for awhile a couple years ago.

It never cleared 10k.
(and my 9700pro WAS the fastest air cooled on the planet)
(WAS = gave it to freind who killed it)

Anyway, I can return.
Just got it last nite.

Yeah it matters at 4x. There is BARELY any difference between 4x and 8x for AGP. the X850XT is miles faster than the X1300pro...

OK ,,, thanks ...

I didn't see any higher AGP's, but they were about to close, and I could not get help.

Return the card to BB. They didn't use to charge a restocking fee for open hardware returned within 30 days of purchase. Maybe they've changed....dunno.
