I have an old geforce card that i want to plug into my new A7N8X motherboard, will that be ok ?
i think i recall something about power issues, old cards running 3.3v or something like that....?
The manual says that it only accepts 1.5V cards; I think that an AGP 4x capable card can take 1.5V.
I believe that TNT2 and higher support AGP4x - someone correct me on that if I'm wrong though.
Most TNT2 cards support AGP 4x, however a few (cheap ones) were made to support only AGP 2x/1x for compatibility reasons and are not keyed correctly...... at the time of release there were no AGP 4x motherboards and they were still months off.
On the other hand the manual for the A7N8X states that there is an AGP warning led that lights up red and refuses to start if u insert a 3.3v agp card, and i suspect that my geforce1 is one of those cards.
