Was OC'ing my 9600XT with stock speeds of 500core/600ddr mem. Got it up to 570core/660ddr. Was wondering if raising AGP voltage allows for more OC'ing?? And, is it safe? (say 1.6V instead of 1.55V?)

No, raising voltage via BIOS does not help overclocking, and may damage your card. Do a volt mod if your so inclined to overclock. Just make sure you got mad good cooling.

raising AGP voltage gives a little more juice to your card so when its strapped for power it wont slow. i have my 9600pro on 1.6v and im soon to put it to 1.7 on stock cooling. though i have fans everywhere

I have my 9600pro at 1.6, it only gives me an extra 20 mhz on the core and 15 on the memory but I am hoping to do better comping up.

It doesn't increase the voltage going to the core or memory on the vid card like a volt mod does.

You guys doing volt mods are insane. I've killed both an R8500 and an MSI K7T Turbo motherboard doing volt mods. Not worth it in the slightest IMO.
