AGP video went out...so did PCI

first off, im not sure this topic is in the right place. if it is, let me know. i know the video card isnt the problem.

Motherboard: MSI MS-6570 (no onboard video)

a couple weeks, my Nvidia Ti4200 card stopped putting out a video signal to my monitor. i figured it was a fried card. i bought a cheap radeon from newegg and replaced the nvidia. Still no putput. I tried installing a PCI card and same results (black screen).

when plugged in, the fans on the video card work (if that accounts for anything)

my monitor reads: "Cable Not Connected"

please tell me my motherboard is not the problem.

Did you check the vga adapter connector on the back of your monitor? Mine is removable. Maybe yours came loose. If that isn't your problem, I suggest a direct rma request to msi. It takes about 2 weeks to get a replacement board, and 24 hours to process your request. You can even track it online in the U.S. I send mine by fedex ground for about $5. Try it, even if you think your board is out of warranty. Msi doesn't require the original receipt, they just check the serial number to see if it's within the 3 year warranty.

the monitor works perfectly fine. im using at a dual display with my laptop right this moment. do i need the orignal box, documents, etc. for an RMA? if so, im out of luck i assume everything else on the motherboard works perfectly fine since the HDs optical drives, lan, cpu/heatsink all power up.

Yea you really didn't need to get that Radeon video card and I have to say, it's your motherboard especially if your pci video doesn't work. You really should have tried the video with a PCI first before buying from newegg. You should just return the cheap Radeon Card to newegg while you can and RMA the MSI board. There isn't really anything you can do and I have been in your situation so I know exactally how you feel, happend to a PC Chips Pentium Board with onboard video, tried everything but to no avail.
