AGP video card

Friend wants to upgrade video card. he has a 6200 LE 256 MB right now. whats a good card to upgrade too?

something in the $100-150 range maybe?

You better send system spec's, othervise is hard to recommend anything.

i don't see why it really matters, but:

3400+ (the socket before 939, 700 something?)
1 GB ram
not sure on HD space

what else do you need to know?

which would that be?

resolution, i dunno, right now whatever gives him the best FPS...he's playing SC: DA at 800x600 right now. I would assume he wants to play at 1280x1024 or ar least 1024x768.

He tends to play older games since his systems are usually a few years behind. He is playing SC😀A right now. He plays (or played) FEAR, not sure what else he plays atm.

Tell him to get the X1950Pro and dont look back.

HIS X1650Pro $100
for casual gaming,
otherwise I'd spend a little more and get
7800GS $160 (*edit: the deal apoppin linked is even sweeter)
But if you are going to spend over $150, I'd get X1950Pro for $180

...both those cards are availible in AGP...the X1950Pro has been out for some time now...alot of us here in Video have one for our AGP setups.
