AGP v2.0 Card with a v1.0 MoBo ?

After a looong, long time, i've finally the chance to replace my old Voodoo3 (argh!) with a GeForce2.

But my problem is that my mobo only supports AGP v1.0 and the GeForce2 needs an AGP v2.0 compliant mobo, according to the manufacturer page (eVGA).

Later, I've found this on the FAQ:

Assuming this information is correct, but considering the ocean of different hardware that exists, should I go for it ?

You'll have no problem, your card will default to 2X, which is less than 10% slower than 4X.

I also had a Geforce 2 in a AGP 1.0 board and had zero problems.
