AGP upgrade

Hello guys, I am going to buy a new AGP card and give my brother my 6800GT. I'd like to get something that is a nice upgrade from my 6800GT if possible. I play alot of WoW and Q4. If yall could suggest some nice cards I would greatly appreciate it! My system specs are in my sig.
I was thinking about getting this card. Hopefully it can run wow a good bit better then my 6800GT.

Try the 7600GT... in every major test it bests the 7800GS, and it's not expensive... it is also faster then the 6800GT across the board.

KT

Actually counting the rebate it's $60 and has one ugly cooler. However it would be faster than the GS.

Best options are 7600GT, 7800GS, 1950pro.

I went from a 6800GT to a BFG 7800GS OC, at stock speeds there isn't much difference but when overclocked to 550/1350 to 7800GS leaves the 6800GT for dead and performs between a 7900GS and 7900GT.

My next Challange is to Find a Sapphire X1950 PRO 512mb AGP....when oh when will they be released in Australia?

what do u guys think?

it's a wonderful card ... but rather over MSRP i believe 😛
[i thought MSRP was $279]
:Q

i ordered the x1950p 512MB by Sapphire for $250 this weekend ... it is the same card except for Diamond's better cooler ....

from the pictures I've seen the coolers look identical...I just wish either one was availible in Australia...it really starting to piss me off, I want one and can't get it yet.

The x1950 pro should run wow better then my 6800gt right??! and also will my 500 watt psu be up for the challenge?

I am waiting for the x1950p 512MB by Sapphire to get in stock. Stumps..your lil Emily is sure a cute girl..congrats.

Why does this card seem so cheap @ $250 (relatively speaking) compared with the rest of the x1950 cards out there? And with 512MB!

Well I went ahead and ordered the Diamond x1950 Pro from newegg. I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

Well I hope you have better luck than I do. I got a similar (well, essentially same) card from Sapphire off of Newegg, it does not work on my system.

At this point, don't know if its a DOA board or something is up with my system.

yep, that's the one i have coming tomorrow.

i guess i was mistaken on the diamond cooler. 😱

which one has the upgraded cooler?
😕

Thanks, I need to update the photo however that was taken 2 months ago.

Apoppin, IIRC the powercolor version has a hefty cooler on it as well.

I'm interested in the Sapphire version (I doubt we will see the Diamond models in Australia) because I have a mad Blue PCB thing going on all of my PC's..it looks so pretty.

i HAD the VisionTek copper heavy one ... i couldn't O/C it anyway 😛

my x1950p is scheduled today ... i thought the Sapphire's *weakness* was it's cooler
[from reading a couple of reviews] ... i also thought the Diamond was different ...
perhaps i was thinking of another with *better cooling*

no biggie ... i can always add another VGA cooler ... but i prefer to keep it stock as an extra 1 or 2% O/C makes little difference to me [and it sure helps when you sell it as UN O/C'd ] 😉
