I know that AGP is getting a little scarcer, and I was wondering what is the fastest AGP card out there that I could upgrade to. I'm getting one and replacing my fathers with mine (making him a workstation, and this is my pay. *happy face*). I'm doing to research on my own, don't worry, but I'm also looking for opinions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you aren't going to get a new computer within the next 6-12 months, i would STRONGLY recommend you to stop the AGP pathway and begin the PCIe trail. I'm guessing that the new chipsets from both AMD and Intel aren't going to do much to support AGP. Also, if you are paying for this out of your own pocket, you will end up paying more to get an AGP card than you would if you got a PCIe card. However, to answer your question anyway, I believe the fastest AGP card is the EVGA Geforce 7800GS CO Superclocked, though i could be wrong.

Another important note is that nothing is going to be a huge jump up from the X800XT. IMO not worth the premium at least. There is one version of the 7800GS that apparently uses the 7800GT core, that should be a good jump, but still not worth the price of admission, especially considering the premium that those cards are going for.
