I have an old computer. So old that the mobo (Tyan k7) has an AGP Pro slot. I don't want to upgrade my computer yet as I think it's still functional. But I am considering better graphic performance options.

Wondering if something like the nVidia 6600 GT would run well on an AGP Pro slot.

CPU: Dual AMD 1900
MEM: 1 GIG
Current Video Card: Matrox p750
Mobo: Tyan k7

I think you'll be OK, though the CPU would probably limit your performance, but as I said, you should be OK.

Dual processors will do nothing as games are not multi-threaded.

If you have the manual check what voltage the AGP slot is. It must be 1.5 or .8V to use a 6600GT. The 3.3 will not run it correctly nor will it fit as the notch is in a different spot.
