agp rates 2x???

I ran future mark again and i got another really low score on my 7800gt and i still don't know whats wrong, but could "AGP Rates (Current/Available) 2x / N/A" be the problem. Shouldn't that be 16x?

Thanks

Supply system specs. However if you have a PCIe video card, it doesn't matter what AGP rate is listed since it's not using AGP. If you actually have a 7800GT in AGP form, 8X is the highest setting possible, and is enabled in the mainboard BIOS, however it ought to at least be running in 4X by default.

3DMark06 doesn't seem to be very good at actually identifying the type of devices, or at least listing them in a non-confusing way. Mainboards that don't have AGP interfaces of any kind shouldn't have any listings for any type of AGP. My nforce570 board is listed as supporting ISA, PCI and AGP busses, even though the available rates are 0, and the AGP bus shows as "in use".

Yea it is pcie, just i've had really low scores on 06 with like 3500 and low fps on css, and i'm just trying to find a problem to it.

amd 3800x2
2gigs of corsair
Evga 7800gt
lanparty mobo ultra-d

and like, all other's on future mark with 7800gts are 16x also why i wondered.

Use something like CPU-Z to verify the actual link width on your PCIe slot. That can also help you make sure what everything else is running at like your memory speeds.

And there are like 12 dozen "lanparty" mainboards.

are you running this in an sli board on the lower slot? if so its 2x unless sli is enabled then both slots become 8x

thats what I'd saytoo . You have the card in the lower slot. so its running in 2x. If you want to run it in the lower slot you will need to set the jumpers to SLI so its atleast 8x.

I did the same with my X1900XT actaully. I would just set the jumpers to SLI so you have two 8 X PCI-eXpress slots.
2x pci-express is a little slow but there shouldn't be any performance differences between 8x and 16x with a single card. I don't notice any, anyways nor do benchmarks.

yea, so i set it back to top didn't feel like moving jumpers :), my fps on css has improved greatly but i'm still droping to 50s, and steady around 60-70s, any one know of anything that could be the reason?????????

i'm not sure but if that level has hdr that can really take a hit on your frames when it adjusts
