I am pretty sure my AGP slot on my Asus K7M motherboard only runs at 1.0 speed. Well my new Radeon 9000 is obviously 2x/4x AGP. Does the card "go down" to the speed of the motherboard at 1.0 and decrease the actual performance I should get? I have been wondering this and curious if this is what possibly caused the TI4400 I had to reboot my system a lot instead of power drain. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks

1.0 is not the speed, it's the revision count of the AGP specification. In 1.0, you could have 1x or 2x speeds. AGP 2.0 upped the power budget, and introduced 4x.

You need to mind the card's power consumption, and make sure you don't get a 4x-only card. R9000 fits the bill. Ti4400 is very probably asking too much of the 3.3V rail on the mainboard and/or system PSU.
