i'm going to have the chance to get a MSI K7T266 (its the fixed version, fortunately) for pretty cheap, and i was wondering if it matters that the board does not support agp pro. if i get it, i am going to put an ATI radeon 64 MB VIVO in. will i have any problems?

I'm using ATI RADEON 64MB DDR with VIVO on MS-6380, which have an AGP Pro slot. Just don't remove the spacer and it should be ok.

AGP Pro is what some of the higher end "workstation cards" utilize. The nice thing is the slot is backwards compatible with conventional AGP cards. You will have no problems running the Radeon.

The only difference between AGP Pro and normal AGP is that it provides more power and it has extra notches. If you're using a normal AGP card, leave the notch cover on the back and it'll work just fine. I'm in exactly the same situation and my GTS works perfectly.

by the way, is this board good? the reviews i have read were pretty favorable, but most are either from right after it came out, or right after the bug free version came out. i haven't seen a kt266 chipset review in a while, so i'm not sure about its preformance vs sdr chipsets like the kt133a. however, i can get it for about $5 more than an equivalently featured 133a board, so i figured i couldn't go wrong with it.
