AGP port problem

I think my agp port is on its way to death, is it possible to put my 6800GT in one of the pci ports till I get a new mobo?

This is the problem, when I turn my machine on I get the same routine that ussually happens. bios loads, then I get the windows loading screen but when it goes to my desktop it is all garbled, safe mode works and if I re-seat the card it works till I move the case around then it locks up and the screen goes black. I tried the rthdrbl and it runs it fine (ive only run it for about 30 min). any ideahs?

Sounds like a loose power connection, or something is perhaps shorting in your case when it gets moved.

NO, you can't put your card in the PCI slot.

Thank you, now that I know that I can figure something out, have you ever heard of a bad monitor cable? my monitor has one of those detachable cables, I wonder if the cables is kaka. this all started the other day when I dusted the card with some canned air and put a firewire card in, while I am trying to figure out the problem am I risking my video card if my machine is on and I make it error out? or should I try to figure it out while the power is disconnected?
