Hi i has this doubt about my agp slot

the system info of the 3dmark2001 shows this:

Number: 0
Designation: AGP
Type: AGP
Characteristics: 5.0V
Data Bus Width: 32
Details: In Use, Long
Device Class: Display Adapter
Device Name: S3 Inc. Savage2000
Device Manufacturer: S3
Device Driver Date: 3- 2-2002
Device Vendor ID: 0x5333
Device ID: 0x9102
Device Sub-System ID: 0x59341092
Device Revision: 0x02
IRQ: 11

Note that in characteristics says that the voltage is 5.0v

How can this be? I was sure that the specs fo the agp 1.0 slot works on a voltage of 3.0v
Maybe some mobos use other specifications?

Can anyone tell me if this right or wrong? I need to be sure because i'm going to install
a g3ti200 and I don't want to fry the card. I have a via apollo pro plus chipset

Please answer me

Thanks
Bye

I think you do not have any problem here. I looked at the manual for your motherboard, and the drawing of the board indicates that the AGP connector/slot is keyed for AGP 3.3V -- there should be no problem using the GeForce3 card.

I cannot explain the 5.0V reading you encounter in the 3Dmark display. I can only say that if I were doing this, I would proceed and not worry about it. If you're still uncomfortable, your best bet is probably to persist in your attempts to contact Acorp tech support.

Good luck, please post news of your success!

OK, thank you very much.

Maybe there is an error in the system info of the 3dmark

I'll be receiving the card next week and I will post what happened to help other peoples with the same problem
