So I come from the days of non locks because I still have an Athlon 1400. I remember that even your CPU could handle it, maybe you could be frying your PCI/AGP cards.

Ok, so here's my question. Say I can lock my AGP card at 66 MHz, but I choose not to. Then I overclock and say the AGP bus goes up to like 70 MHz, which is definitely safe. How will this compare if I locked the AGP down to 66 and overclocked the same amount. Will the gfx card run any faster/slower? Just wondering.

Theoretically, your gfx card will run faster when you OC the AGP buss, but I'd suggest using the AGP lock,

since depending on the particular video card you're using, you may fry some of the capacitors on that card,

as it happened to mine.
