AGP = Old
PCI-E x16 = New and for the future

PCI-E x1 = For Expansion cards like NICs, wireless, sound?, Matrox has a graphics card for PCI-E x1..

AGP better? Why, how, and what glue-sniffing cretin said so?

PCI-E x16 has more bandwidth, and more important it is the connector that most high-end cards are being built for.

AGP vs. PCI-E doesn't matter if you're buying a $100 card and never plan to upgrade, but if you want to buy a $450 card now or upgrade to even a $300 card in a couple of years, PCI-E is the better choice.

You have to remember that PCI Express is for a whole system and not just graphics.

PCI-express is newer... and more futureproof than agp as others have stated. But you will see no performance increase if you put an agp card and a pci-e card that has the same gpu together.

I swear, you make too many threads OP.

If video cards ever end up using more bandwith than AGP offers, then you'll want to have PCIe.
