I have a duron 900, win98 se,Biostar M7VKD mobo,

I first built this puter with a Ge-force mx PCI video card in and i just bought a radeon AGP, I went into device manager removed the Ge-force then add remove programs and removed Nvidia drivers/setting that was in there. Turned puter off took out the PCI card installed the AGP started puter and it say detecting PCI vga card??? Turned puter back off reset the CMOS restarted and same thing.

Any one pls help.

It doesnt recognize the AGP radeon so I cant load drivers. I tried to load the drives also and at the end of the install it said no ATI hardware detected. So the problem is it will only let me load drivers for a pci card. There is a setting in the BIOS that says Inetial display and the options are AGP or PCI and after clearing the CMOS APG is the default setting.

Hmmm.....have you installed an AGP miniport driver? Maybe after that it'll recognize your AGP vid card.

Hello,

Have you done the steps below?

Go to Control Panel, select Display, click Settings tab, click the advanced button at the bottom, select the Driver tab, and set to standard vga driver, and then click apply, then click OK, then restart computer. If not, the steps should work.

hth,
