AGP disabled - how to enable?

I've got a puter that AIDA32 reports 1x,2x,4x possible but disabled - enable for better performance. I've enabled everything AGP related I see on that Advanced BIOS page.
What am I missing here?
Or does AIDA32 misreport this?
Thanks, Doug

Well, you must have a least 1x AGP enabled...Best bet is to install the VIA 4-1 drivers for your board.

I use cpuz to get this sort of information. It says my AGP transfer rate as 4x. I would try that program (google "cpuz") and see what it says.

In any case, your cpu and video card is probably not powerful enough to see much gain above 2X.

I now recall that I let WinMe put the chipset drivers in...got the VIA 4in1 drivers from the Shuttle site and now the only discrepancy between Everest and the BIOS is Fast Write disabled (Everest) and it shows enabled in the BIOS.

Thanks for the troubleshooting. Doug
