What would I be better off going with, 6600 GT, 6800 (Plain), or an X800 XL? My price range is <$250. I was going with the 6800 because I don't want to spend too much and buy the GT, and since it has sm 3.0 whereas the X800 XL only has sm 2.0.

6800 all the way, hopefully you'll be able to unlock it and get some more juice out of it.

x800XL is one of the best, but its pretty pricey. I'd go with 6800NU.

For the price you're willing to pay..why not buy a 6800gt from someone on the forums. They can be had for around $230 or so.

Get an x800xl, x850pro, x800pro, 6800GT

Don't mess with a plain 6800.

You could probably get a x800Pro for 180 refurbed from ATi.com, those are great, but then you'd have to wait around. Otherwise, the 6800nu is best for sub 200.

got my x800xl agp for 200 . runs bf2, doom3, hl2 all at good resoltions and mediam/high settings with af 2x really well. go used and you might be able to find a 6800gt for that price.
