AGP card prices after PCI express?

I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas about what would happen to AGP card prices once PCI express is released.

With lots of chipset manufacturers moving strait to PCI-Xpresss would AGP cards see a sharp decline in price or not much, and if it does when should it be expected.

Thanks

keep in mind, AGP cards wont be obsolete anytime soon, thanks in part for VIA's plans to make an AGP/PCI-E chipset, this would allow you to "HAVE" PCI-E, but use your current AGP card until you deem it is time to move to PCI-E, that is a brilliant idea on VIA's part. (the board would have PCI-E slots, and an AGP slot) But in response to price drops, I suspect them to drop sloooowly at first, but when PCI-E becomes widely available, they may fall like a rock, who knows, only time will tell on this one.

I don't expect them to go down much. There should still be fairly high demand for agp. I know I won't be moving to pci-e right after its launch.

Actually this chipset may hit the can soon, they are getting very sub-par performence.

The PCIX info Ive been reading about seems like the whole plan is quite unorganized and complicated. So many different variations of it and weird compatabilites. I know Im gonna wait at least a year and a half before I even think about going into building with it.

Bold Prediction - at least two years before PCI Express gets the bugs out and becomes mainstream.

Well, I have been wrong before on other topics (mostly personal as opposed to technical), but I have personal confidence in this one!

PCI-e wudn't cuase the prices to drop much since it wud be unsettled but after that when it is settled in about a year or a yr. & a half then agp prices wud get rock bottom.
PCI-e hasn't had any organized procedure bef. its launch . There have been no or very little ads foe its mobos
