I noticed when poking around in my BIOS (actually I was settting things back to the way i like them after a little overclocking 'incident' :)) and I noticed the option for AGP Apeture Size and that it was set to 64MB. My card has 128MB of memory, should I set it to 128?
thanks,

This setting isn't related to your video card in that way.

The AGP Aperture defines a maximum dynamic area of system RAM that the AGP card can use for texture overflow in the event that the 128MB onboard your video card is not enough.

Generally 64MB is sufficient, and there is no performance difference between 64MB and 128MB. Some people claim a very minor increase with a larger Aperture size though.

I generally set it to 128mb if the system has 512mb or more of memory. If the system has less than 512mb, I set it @ 64mb. Like Andy said, there is no real performance increase.

i have a 128MB Geforce 4 Ti 4200 and a gig of RAM I put mine Aperture at 256 and noticed a few frames faster on a couple games. but i do agree if you dont have more than 512MB or RAM keep it at or below 128, setting it higher i didnt notice that much but it was some.

I have a GeForce4 ti4400 128mb... 4x AGP, when I changed my apperture to 256, I noticed a pretty good jump in performance. Especially w/ 4xS AA and 8x AF. This is in America's Army (UT2k3.)
