AGP Aperature w/ 9800P 128mb and IC7

what is the effect of changing the AGP aperature size? Like say you have a 128mb card and set the aperature to 64mb? Or set it to 256? I would imagine the 256mb aperature on a 128mb card would mean it will share system RAM? I doubt anyone would need that but if they are doing something with a tremendous amount of textures, would it help?
 
ATI reccommends 128mb, but you`ll find that alot of game problems can be solved with it set to 256mb. I have mine set to 256mb.

what problems? What does that do to your system to set it to a 256mb aperature? Share system memory?
