Any information on when the motherboards will be available? Performance increase may be small, but want to know what mobo chipset will utilize this feature.
Thanks!

KT333A is the first VIA one, which might be late in the game because of how long it took intel to finalize the specs. I'd guess that SiS might actually be out before then, the original KT333 which is almost out couldn't have 8x because it was too far into being developed.

KT333A will support AGP8X. At this point it isn't in the specs for the KT333.

I would hold off on buying a board that supports AGP 8X. New technologies are always somewhat buggy when they first come out. It takes them a few revisions to work the kinks out of the manufacturing processes, tweak the design etc... When the Geforce2 came out... even though it was stated that the cards and motherboards supported AGP4X... it took a few months for everything to get ironed out.

Given the fact that the GeForce4 will support AGP8X... I'm sure we will see a nForce board that supports it in the near future.

KT333A will be out in 3Q.
