AGP 4x on KG7/AMD 1.4

I went into the KG7 BIOS and switched it from AGP2x to 4x and when i tried to load windows XP it gave me a nasty error giving me no choice but to restart.

I havn't installed the AMD AGP drivers because they are listed for Windows 2000, not Windows XP. Should I Install the drivers to get AGP 4x working?

don't know the answer but there's very little real world difference between x2 & x4AGP transfers!

Yeah, I don't even bother changing from AGP 2X to 4X.. infact i have not even tried it in my BIOS cause i realize how little it matters. just let it be at 2X, because you wouldn't have noticed any big differences or anything anyways!
