Ok, just got a PNY 128mb usb device to transfer files from my old computer without a working cd-rw to my new one with dvd rw. So non cd rw pc accepts the usb device and I put 128mb in files and music on it, only to discover dvd-rw pc doesnt accept the usb device. WTFBBQ!@#! It says that it needs DRIVERS for it. So my question is can i get and drivers off the internet to satiate my dvd-rw pc.

(Tell me if that made any sense to you)

What OS is your "DVD-RW PC" using? Win98SE and above should automatically come with the proper drivers.

Then you've managed to stump me, XP Pro should be fine. Are you sure the USB port is even working correctly?

the usb port works fine for everything else...though every time i switch (say my adapter) from one port to another i have to install the drivers all over again and its recognized as wireless connection 2 or 3 or 4 etc.

Try installing Aspi layer software - free DL from Adaptec. I know it helps for USB optical drives.
