Agh! Just started working on that .001 AR WU

This should be fun....my at 9:39PM EST, my laptop has started crunching my very own .001AR WU (P3-M 866mhz, 256MB Ram) 5.92% in, and seti driver says 2:30 Est completion time. Of course thats always low at the start of a WU...This should be interesting 😉

EDIT: Needless to say, my lap will be kept warm for quite some time 😉 The processor in this thing is hovering around 45-50C, and sucking down batteries (I'm running off batteries right now, but the CPU is in full performance mode)

Geez; I've got SETI running on my P2 400 laptop. Gets about 6% per minute done; still does something though. 🙂

Wow, how much for that laptop...if It does 6% a minute, I want it now 😉

Derango - since you're dressed as a Penguin, then you SHOULD have some linux box somewhere. 😛

Then you can shunt those awful VLARs (I had a big pile over the past couple days) to the linux box.

I just checked my Q and I have 5 WUs waiting with an angle range of 0.001.:Q Looks like anything recorded between 5:30-6pm on June 16th is really going to suck because that is when they are all from.

Heh, it took 8:06. Thank goodness for windows NT 🙂 It took so long (in days) to do , because I don't have SETI crunching all the time on my laptop.

<Heh, it took 8:06>

That wasn't all that bad! 🙂

What about an over 7.0 WU, just asking because I have almost 5% of them in my Q waiting!!! :frown:

One of them is almost 8 -- 7.99! :disgust:

Hey Bob, I mean, Derango, Swift says you're a beloved patriot. 🙂

The longest I've ever had a WU take on my Athlon was 10 hours; lowest was 4:40.

(BTW, I turned in 7 WUs last night and am now at 1506. Take that! 😛)

My highest AR WU was 10.294. Higher AR's tend to crunch faster...I did that one on my desktop (average around 7.5 hours/WU) in 6:36

Well, good for him. 🙂
