Ageless question: What's the best o/c P4?

I currently have a 2.53 "northy" on a Gigabyte 8SG667 (sis648) mb along with two 256mg sticks of XMS pc3200C2 ram. I'm going to be going with Gigabyte's new GB board, the 8Inxp. I was originally going to put my 2.53 on that but have reconsidered. Since I'm only a couple of parts shy of building another P4 box around the 8SG667 I was thinking of getting another P4 for the GB and o/c'ing it. I have an AVC Sunflower on the way and am using an Enermax 431w ps. Being new to P4 systems, what should I look for in determining what cpu to get?

Thanks in advance.

why don't you go with sis655(the memory ratios and dual-channel ddr333 sure looks good😀)
the best o/c'ed p4?
that's a good question
i'd would say it will be a coin toss between the p4 1.6A and p41.8A c1 stepping

Man..I just dodged a bullit 🙂 I was bidding on a 1.6 over at that "auction" site and upon closer scrutiny determined it was a Willamette core. Glad someone else got it!

Yeah...it sounds good but to tell the truth, I'm kinda tired of SIS boards. I have this 8SG667 and there's a K7S5A in my wife's Duron system. They've been good stable boards but I wanna try an Intel chipset and I like the features on the new Gigabyte 8INXP. I've pretty much decided on a 1.8a and am hoping I can run it @ 167 fsb.

I´ll definetely advise you to wait for the 1.8 C1.
This is what I achieved with default Intel's cooling, Vcore 1.65V 1.8 C1 aircooled

and this is the same processor, prometeia cooled 1.8 C1 promie cooled

The processor came with a Dell desktop.
Needless to say that the 1.8 C1(aircooled) beat my 2.53(watercooled) & my 2.66 (aircooled).

These Dell desktops were shipped from Dell's factory in Ireland.
The cpus, are oem, not boxed.
Can't really help with the availability of these 1.8...

Here is the full story
The forum language is greek, but you'll only need the pics I guess.
The benchmarks were performed by my friend Tasos, who runs the prometeia cooling rig.
