I was viewing the trailers on this website, when it asked for an age verification (18+ to view). So I did the normal BS name and birthdate, and it came back saying that it was unable to verify that date. So I was like wtf, plugged in my real info and it worked... how is this site actually verifying the age. What database does it have access to verify this information? I've done some testing, and as long as I used my real name and correct birth year it seems to function correctly (as well as a zip code I have lived at previously). Anyone ever see an age verification like this?

It's probably pulling up public information stored with state DMV or other state departments. Not scary, it's reality.

Hmm it didn't even ask me for age verification. I was able to view the trailers just fine.

at first i tired with my screen name. didn't work. so i chose the most common name i could think of: john smith. worked fine.

I tried -
Obviously fake name (Test Test) with random date and real zip code: DENIED
Real name with wrong date and wrong zip code: DENIED
Real name with right date and wrong zip code (same state though): DENIED
Real name with right date and right zip code: SUCCESS

Edit: I wonder if their age verification only works in certain states?

I'm in NJ and the verification worked.
